Doll Use and Maintenance

Properly maintaining your new companion ensures longevity and a better experience. This guide covers everything from the initial assembly to advanced skin care and storage for your TPE or silicone doll.

How to assemble your doll

With few exceptions (such as seamless models like those from Piper Doll), our dolls are manufactured in two separate pieces: the head and the body. Most brands in our catalog utilize a quick-fix head attachment system where an M16 bolt is first screwed into the body, and then the head is securely pushed into place.

You can see a demonstration of this assembly process in the video below:

In some instances, you may find the bolt already screwed into the head. If your doll arrives this way, please follow the attachment steps shown in this tutorial provided by Elsa Babe:

Important note: Some brands utilize exclusive proprietary bolts. If you are unsure about how to assemble your specific model, please contact us for assistance. If your doll features a removable vagina, ensure the insert is properly seated before use.

Sex with your doll

Be gentle with your new doll and move her limbs slowly as you get to know her anatomical limitations. While joints may feel stiff initially, they will loosen up over time. To prevent tears, do not spread the legs further than necessary for entry and avoid overstretching any part of the TPE or silicone for extended periods.

To protect the internal skeleton, do not put full body weight on the doll's hands or wrists (for example, in "doggy-style" positions), as they are not designed for heavy weight-bearing. Instead, support the doll's torso with pillows. Always use water-based lubricants for vaginal, anal, and oral entry. If your doll is TPE-based, avoid silicone-oil lubricants as they can chemically degrade the material.

Keeping your doll clean

We recommend using a clean, soft sponge and mild antibacterial soap to remove dirt and residue. After washing, gently dry the skin with a towel. For a new doll, it is ideal to clean the surface a few times to remove any manufacturing oils. Finally, apply baby powder or cornstarch with your hands to keep the skin smooth and non-tacky.

If you choose to bathe your doll, never submerge the head under water. To clean the face, wipe gently with a damp cloth and mild soap, being extremely careful around the lips and eyebrows, which are often hand-painted and delicate. Always air dry or towel dry; never use a hair dryer or external heat source.

Arrival Protocol: When your doll first arrives, we recommend this sequence:

  1. Wash the doll thoroughly to remove production residues.

  2. For TPE dolls, apply mineral oil (Baby Oil) and allow it to absorb.

  3. Apply a coating of talcum powder or cornstarch.

Orifice cleaning

The vaginal, anal, and oral cavities must be cleaned after every use to prevent bacterial growth. For fixed vaginas, use a vaginal irrigator to flush the canal with mild antibacterial soap, followed by a thorough rinse with clean water. Ensure the canal is completely dry.

Removable inserts can be washed under running water. To dry internal cavities, we recommend using tampons to absorb moisture. Some owners use small air pumps (like aquarium pumps) to ensure total dryness. To disinfect, you may apply 3% hydrogen peroxide to a tampon and leave it inside for 30 minutes. Never use alcohol, as it will dry out and damage TPE materials.

Skin care

Regularly dust your doll with baby powder to prevent the skin from becoming "tacky" or sticky. For TPE dolls, applying baby oil once a month helps maintain elasticity. High-stress areas like the underarms and inner thighs may benefit from a weekly application of Vaseline or Nivea cream.

Material Warnings:

  • TPE: Avoid alcohols, acetone, or hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene).

  • Silicone: Avoid mineral oils (Vaseline, Baby Oil), as these can harden the material.

Keep your doll out of direct sunlight to prevent premature aging and discoloration.

Skeletal care and storage

Most dolls are manufactured and "set" in an upright position. Avoid leaving your doll in bent or contorted positions for long periods to prevent permanent deformation of the material or internal skeleton. If your doll does not have the "standing foot" option (three reinforced bolts in the feet), do not attempt to stand her upright as it will damage the foot structure.

Store your doll in her original cardboard box or a flight case in a cool, dry place. Note that TPE can begin to soften or deform at temperatures exceeding 50°C (122°F).

Heating

Manufacturers recommend not to heat the surface of a TPE or silicone doll above 50°C / 122°F. If you wish to warm the orifices for a more realistic experience, use a dedicated heating rod for only 2-3 minutes. Overheating can cause permanent damage to the material.

General maintenance: a demonstration video

Our partner Irontech Doll has produced a comprehensive guide covering repair and maintenance. In the video below, they demonstrate techniques for cleaning and repair:

  1. Use generic makeup removal oil for lipstick stains.

  2. Use TPE stain remover for clothing stains.

  3. Apply strong-bond glue for securing nails.

  4. Use TPE solvent to repair minor skin cuts.

In this additional demonstration provided by SEDoll, we look at how to address a deflated breast in a TPE doll using a syringe and needle technique:
