Skeleton hand bones: better posing and more durability

Until recently an exclusive feature of $3000+ high-end models, hand bones with a full skeleton (also known as articulated fingers) are increasingly becoming available on medium-priced TPE dolls. This "skeleton finger" system offers significantly more durability and posing capability compared to traditional "wire fingers," making it a must-have feature for doll photography enthusiasts.

Availability and Brands

As of June 2021, top manufacturers including WM Dolls, YL Doll, and Irontech Doll offer this feature on most dolls 140cm and taller. While articulated fingers are normally an affordable fee-paying option, keep an eye on our promotions as they are occasionally offered as a free upgrade.

Technical Evolution & Updates

Update June 2022: Elsa Babe Integration

Articulated hands are now available on Elsa Babe dolls from 148cm and up. These joints allow for much more natural hand positioning for various scenarios.

Update March 2023: WM Dolls Hand Bones 3.0

WM Dolls has released their Hand Bones 3.0, featuring a ball-jointed skeleton. Currently available on models 150cm and above, this version provides a more fluid and natural range of motion than the previous "regular" hand bones (2.0). You can see the structural difference in the comparison below:
